Naps

Post by fishbike » Mon Mar 26, 2012 1:31 pm

My doctor told me my frequent naps in the afternoon might be keeping me from losing any weight. Ive held steady at the same weight since starting No S in November. Hopefully eliminating naps will kick start my metabolism. Wish me luck!

Interesting, though it does make sense that your metabolic rate would drop for that time. Now get off the couch and go for a walk! :)

Ironically, I was just about to take a nap. I think I'll power through.

I nap every afternoon. I don't think napping has affected weight loss at all. In fact, many are saying that more sleep is conducive to weight loss. I think it's what you do while you're awake that matters!

I keep hearing this too and I tend to agree. I know that I seem to want to snack mid-afternoon when I'm tired but not hungry. I've heard that people subconsciously eat for more energy when they get tired. I for one have been totally sleep-deprived since I had my first child 19 years ago. Americans are gaining weight... and they say Americans are more and more sleep-deprived. Hmmm...
I guess this doesn't work unless you actually do it.
Please pray for me
