Hey Reinhard :)
So I guess the index card will be going back in their box, for now :)
Your love of talking (self therapy etc...purging your soul lol)
sounds like what you need to do to be happy...I think it's great
that you have found a way of unloading your burdens in a healthy way.
Your love of speech reminds me of a funny interview clip I saw in
the movie "Thirty-two short films about Glenn Gould" (my ulitmate
favorite pianist)
So, one of his friends was recollecting how he used to just call up
at 1 am or some ungodly hour and say "This is Glenn and I am in the
mood to talk" after which, he would proceed to go on and on...The
funny part was that one time the interviewed friend said he had
gotten tired and just nodded off during one of Glenns rambling
rants. When he woke up about an hour later, he picked up the
receiver which fell to the floor, and there was Glenn STILL talking
on the other end! Maybe he should have just put it on
tape..Actually, sound recording was one of his big passions, not
just Bach. One of these days I hope to get my hands on some
recordings he made in the last few years of his life...They were
from a radio program he wrote and directed called "The Idea of
North". Happy you salvaged your taperecorder...Years ago I had a
really nice Sony D3 with a stereo condenser mic...My dumb ex threw
it out the window the first time I broke up with him. Maybe one day
I'll get something again, you know for recording my wonderful songs,
about ex boyfriends...LOL
Have fun rambling and blowing off steam :)
Deb
