Hi Ray, I'm flattered you think I've got something to work with here, but I've come across two funny sites that have reinforced my decision to not spend too much energy bookifying the sites just yet: From: "SoYouWanna Publish a Book?" http://www.soyouwanna.com/site/syws/publishbook/publishbookFULL.html "The first rule of getting a book published is to avoid writing a book. Whoa, what the hell are we talking about? Yes, it's very counterintuitive, but the main goal of anyone who wants to publish a book is to land a literary agent." Not that I've done anything to land a literary agent, but I might as well not *completely* spurn this convincing advice. From: "Why I'm not a Writer" http://www.photo.net/samantha/FAQ/wilcox.html "My advice to young writers is to ignore dead trees publishers of all kinds. You don't need a publisher to reach your audience. A Web server and worth-of-mouth is all that you need to reach an audience of 50 million. The time and effort that you put into schmoozing agents, editors, and publishers could be better spent practicing your craft. Write, write, write. Publish, publish, publish. If your work is good, it will find an audience." Reinhard --- Ray Paige <> wrote: > > Well, there may be a happy medium.
