No problem at all, TundraBird :) Think about it this way. If you are replacing snacks with veggies all the time, that in itself is huge progress and 1/2 your weight problems fixed right there!

Good luck and please do stick around.

Thanks Carolejo and Deb. It's just one of those days, I feel badly, even food doesn't comfort me, nothing does. I almost went downstairs to eat, but some little voice reminded me how I always feel worse when I do that. I only had a tiny piece of cheese earlier. At the very least, I didn't let a crap...

I had a smaller breakfast and lunch I only split a piece of pizza with a friend. On my way home I had this pastry thing with cream cheese or something inside it. Could technically be considered a sweet. Then I figured I might as well have an early dinner. I had some leftover potatoes from last night...

A bit of virtual plating went on today, and maybe I went a tad overboard with the potato kugel I made (it was fabulous), I was still very good for a Monday - I'm getting there.

I notice as time passes I only get better with this.

I walked on the treadmill for 40 minutes.

I've read that when you wait between meals and don't eat three hours before bedtime that your system works better and can focus on things other than digesting constantly.

So true, isn't it Sandy...people are not interested in common sense plans. It's almost too easy, and they want difficult or something. I don't even bother telling people. They are going to keep doing what they think is the answer, and they will keep getting the same results. So I smugly do my thing,...

It's Monday morning and I am focused and ready to make this a perfect N day. Perfect can be a scary word, but I have to put a little bit of pressure on myself or I don't get anywhere. On that note, I especially have to really concentrate as today is just as hard to eat well as on the weekend. The re...

Today I just wanted to eat a lot. That worries me because I was having a pretty easy time during the week. I hope tomorrow...

A different kind of victory

Today I went to the library to drop off a book I had borrowed. While I was there I figured I would look around a bit. Now, my *favourite* section has always been "diet books." Without thinking, I subconsciously found myself in that area. Then I realized, without even picking up or scanning one diet ...

I don't think a little mint here and there would be a big offender. I personally don't think it would make a dent in your weight. I also think that the difference lies in the reason you ate the mint. If you polish off a package of mentos, or constantly pop in mints because you're bored or feel like ...

I have done that many-a-times on the weekend - a full out binge that leaves me feeling like *crap*. My take on this is simple - you can't do that. That is just as bad in my opinion as dieting all week to only binge, which for me has meant gaining back more than what I lost. That is counter-productiv...

Hey everyone, So what's your take on treadmills? I know it's not official urban rangering which is way better in my opinion. I have a treadmill which over time I do use somewhat frequently.
