Thank you so much for the replies! It's made me take a step back and realize how silly it is to fret much about this. Agonizing over food/calories like this is what led me to NoS in the first place, and I need to break the habit!

Also, while doing NoS..keep in mind that as ur not overweight by any means, it's going to take plenty of time for the weight to start coming off. I say this because I'm a very similar build to you...I'd say I've lost about 5 pounds in total in about 4 months, but my weight fluctuates daily depending...

granola?

I'm partial to a bowl of granola either for breakfast or lunch. Not sure if this counts as an S, as I think the kind I eat is quite high calorie and I tend to have quite large servings. However, I've tried to only have this on the weekends and this ended up being counter-productive because I ended u...

small and big S days?

Hi, I was just wondering..does anyone else make the distinction between small and large S days? I tend to find that whenever I have a non-weekend S day ( e.g. friend's birthday)..i use that excuse to binge like crazy the whole day..even more than I would on a normal weekend, just because it seems li...

babyprrr's occasional check-in

After about 9/10 months of doing NoS, I've decided to start a check-in, just to see if I'm really eating the way I think I am. When I started NoS, I decided to forgo the check-in thing, cuz I used to do that and note down calories in my pre-NoS days and I hated that, but this is different so here go...

exam stress

I stress eat... a LOT. Before NoS, I used to be a massive binge eater whenever I had a bad day/big exam coming up..etc. I normally gain 5/6 pounds during finals period. Now that I'm NoS, I hope I'll be able to prevent the weight gain this year. My exams are in a few weeks and I'm soo stressed out ab...

frustrating plateau

Hi I've been doing No-S for about 8 months now and I think I'm quite comfortable with the rules and everything now. It took me some time to have non-crazy S weekends, but I think I've also managed to sort that out. Like most people I gained some weight over the Christmas period due to too many S day...

Had one toasted and buttered for breakfast this morning. I'm glad I waited until Saturday. I really felt like I deserved it!

They were a lot less sweet than I thought they were going to be though. I expected them to be more sweet-like, but they're def very borderline.

Thanks for all the replies! I've decided I'm going to hold back on them until Saturday morning, but not counting them as a full S treat, so I'm allowed my usual S-day treat in addition to a hot cross bun since they're a borderline food! On a side note, I can't believe they were banned in England at ...

hot cross bun

This might be a silly question for some but are hot cross buns an S? I've n...

confessing my sins

I had a really really bad binge yesterday ( it was a saturday). I feel like I should confess what I ate so that I'm shamed into not doing this again. Had normal breakfast, and lunch, then went to Starbucks, shared half a cinamon bun ( this was ok, because it counted as my S-day treat), then went hom...

I've learned that I have amazingly good self-control when it comes to saying 'NO', once I've made my decision. The major problem before No-S was not saying 'no' but more with deciding. Deciding whether that piece of cheesecake was okay because 'a slice once in a while wouldn't make much of a differe...

getting back on track

I've been doing NoS since around june/july of 2007. It worked very well at first, especially because I have always yo-yo dieted in the past, and binged/starved myself alternately, so NoS was a simple way to lose weight yet not go crazy counting calories. I lost around five pounds this way, then I we...

alcohol

As a student, I tend to go out and drink quite a bit of alcohol. I understand that alcohol contains a lot of calories, especially cocktails. I feel that this is the main reason I'm gaining rather than losing on NoS. Trouble is I only get one or two nights off a week where I can really let my hair do...
