My marvelous semi daily check-in
I'm back. I seem to come back every other fall or so.
So, I know the basics, I know what works and doesn't work and I am starting tomorrow, hoping to get 21 days strung together. I have no need for a NWS day in the next 3 weeks.
I will spend today trying to detox from Halloween candy.

Thanks for stopping by Deb! So let's see Day 3 was a FAilure, it was the smell of fresh baked bread, it undid me, fairly stupid 10 minutes before dinner after an entire day of resisting. Then Day 4 was a success and I am feeling pretty confident about today. I have turkey sausage peppers and onions ...

Just noting for myself that today has been really really hard. I have quite literally been inches away from my mouth and put down the snack twice. The ankle-pain thing and first of day of school and feeling a bit lonely are making me really really want food. But now I'm an hour away from dinner and ...

I think this makes my 312 attempt at No S. I am trying to focus on habit over food this time, so no menus. I am planning out dinner ahead of time but breakfast and lunch are whatever I feel like. I am on day 2 Day 1 was a success and so far so good today. I forgot what it feels like to be hungry. I ...

I'm back, shuffling my feet
I just read through this whole thread. Why did I stop No-S-ing? I was so sick from Dec-Feb, just one stupid illness after another, and I came out of it heavy and tired and weak. Now my teeth are fixed and the cold season is behind us, other than the possibility of a novel flu virus out there, I thin...

I just read through this whole thread and I am feeling so damn inspired by you all. I've been away from NoS for months and trying other things and packing on more weight. Feeling better this morning. Thanks for saying hi Deb. I take zyrtec for my allergies to dust and kitties. My dentist prescribed a new antibiotic for a flare up in a tooth about to be worked on, and suddenly I can breathe again, so I guess that it helped the bronchitis more that the other ABX had. I...

I was thinking about this adjustment we all do from eating what we believe to be an optimal amount for our bodies, whether we are following a diet and counting things or eating what main stream society deems a meal and appropriate snack foods. Limiting opportunity is helpful in so many situations. My goodness, I do it with my kids, limit the opportunities to break rules and they feel more successful. When my dog was a puppy, I kept him crated when we weren't at home to limit opportunities for puppy mayhem. And for myself, I limit opportun...

My afternoon witching hour solution is often a chai latte made with one cup of 1% milk and some sweetener (I am using truvia right now, trying to get off the Splenda) it ends up being 16 oz of warm sweet liquid and it often eases the need to eat urgency.
