I am refining this a bit. Breakfast (cereal, skim milk) Lunch (anything..!) Second Lunch (cheese and yogurt) Dinner (1 plate of anything) No sweets or minimal sweets. Emphasis on salads and veggies. Also, I am trying to drink tea instead of coffee. I like my tea with only 2 helpings of Splenda, so I...

Why? To give you motivation to maintain? The way she doesn't give up? It could be any number of things.

Oh that's so horrible and I know how you feel... Maybe switch to tea- it has half the caffeine and it can still give you a good enough boost to stay awake.

So I'm going back to my old way of eating to see what happens. No-S is so hard to me - I get so tired and my lack of energy is noticable. I'm now eating yogurt and low-fat cheese to keep my energy going. I'm still going to stick with only 1 plate of food and trying to stay away from sweets. Though a...

Hmmm yeah I have had those thoughts, too, but can't help but think how similar they are. Same # of calories at the end of the day after all. So No S.... I've been having mostly red days, but my weight has been steady. Not up, not down, just there. I'm afraid that if I'm not on some sort of "diet", e...

I used to eat Lean Cuisines every day for lunch.. until I got SICK OF IT. And I couldn't get it out of the back of my mind how salty and overly processed they are. Now I eat homemade leftovers, I buy or make a fresh lovely salad, etc. I take it day-by-day.

I don't think I'll be making my own yogurt, but there's a lot of joy that comes out of making your own stuff that you would normally buy pre-made. I've been making my own pizza dough the last few months and it's really rewarding, as I'm sure you've found with your beer. :)

Something that works very well for me in all restaruants is... I divide my food as soon as it's served and place the portion that I'm not going to eat in a "to-go" box BEFORE I start eating. That sounds similar to what I do on Chinese night. I take what I want, then put the rest immediately in the ...

I agree with the 145 thing, wosnes, of course. My point was she should set obtainable short term goals and when she reaches, say 180, then she should make a goal of 140. But 128 is waaaay too low of an expectation.

"I started screaming," recalls Alley, sipping homemade fruit-infused water in her Hollywood kitchen. "It said 228 lbs., which is my highest weight ever. I w...

I LOVE my exercise bike. I couple it with a program I like to watch and the time flies. I am uncomfortable walking outside sometimes because I feel really self conscious (silly I know). I also like working with weights. I'm up to 10 lbs. I just feel so good when I work out; I'll never go back.

The Benefits of Exercise Besides Weight Loss

I feel compelled to write this because this week I didn't exercise 3 days in a row and I felt HORRIBLE physical and mentally. Many of you have probably heard some of these but it's worth a reminder. I have been a steady weight (more or less) for the past 3 years, despite regular exercise. This would...

I have been doing no-s on and off for a year now. I lose a couple pounds, and that's about it. I'm about 148 right now. Sometimes 150. But I haven't gained any weight! My weight jumped to 156 after my honeymoon/Christmas in December, and when I did NoS I went right back down. :)

I read a book a couple of years ago called The Paradox of Choice - it was about how now we have so many choices that it actually stresses us out! I definitely see merit in that. When I'm at home and I make, for instance, Shrimp and broccoli with rice, I just have that. But camping this weekend there was hot dogs, hamburgers, chili, pasta salad, chips of all kinds, salsa, potato salad, etc... It all looks so good and you want to try them all! ...
