People just posted a new article. This explains it: "When Kirstie Alley stepped on the scale for the first time in 15 months, it wasn't pretty. "I started screaming," recalls Alley, sipping homemade fruit-infused water in her Hollywood kitchen. "It said 228 lbs., which is my highest weight ever. I w...

First of all, I know what you mean. I got Chinese the other night, one of the dinner selections and as usual, I only ate half. The other half made a great lunch. Second, I also snack sometimes. Sometimes it's some peanuts, other times it's a handful of Chex. Otherwise, I'm SO GRUMPY, irritable, and ...

The Benefits of Exercise Besides Weight Loss
I feel compelled to write this because this week I didn't exercise 3 days in a row and I felt HORRIBLE physical and mentally. Many of you have probably heard some of these but it's worth a reminder. I have been a steady weight (more or less) for the past 3 years, despite regular exercise. This would...

Judy Garland was a sexy woman. Post a picture when you're done.. Lol, I love Judy Garland. I need to see more of her movies though. Here is my progress so far: http://www.flickr.com/photos/nfalcone/sets/72157617436444901/ It's already out of date b/c I made changes right after posting it. It's goin...

I didn't have any sweets yesterday :) So it wasn't a total failure. I am good today, brought enough food to work to satisfy me. It's 230 and I don't feel like I'm starving - I had left over shrimp and broccoli w/rice pilaf for lunch, plus a low-fat granola bar. :) Tonight for dinner is our usual onc...

I'm not 100 % sure, but I think 1200 calories a day is too restrictive for most people. I highly doubt she can keep it up for good. She does look great, now, though. I hope she is able to keep the weight off. I want to see the show, too. I've always heard that 1200 is the minumum for anyone and is ...

I read a book a couple of years ago called The Paradox of Choice - it was about how now we have so many choices that it actually stresses us out! The author pointed out how we go into the store to the bread aisle, and now there are choices of every kind: brand, how "whole-grain" you want your bread...

I definitely see merit in that. When I'm at home and I make, for instance, Shrimp and broccoli with rice, I just have that. But camping this weekend there was hot dogs, hamburgers, chili, pasta salad, chips of all kinds, salsa, potato salad, etc... It all looks so good and you want to try them all! ...
