I know that it is extremely discouraging to feel as if you failed to eat healthfully! I had a terrible week last week, too, but without the fun of your traveling! The silver lining I can find to this "cloud" is that in the past I would consume much more food, and not think about it at all! Now, sin...

Congradulations on the baby. I heard that the only time a woman can burn cellulite is when she is nursing a baby. It makes sense that you put that extra on to provide for the baby, and some of it comes off as you feed the baby! Do give it time, and be sure to nourish yourself. Baby is very importan...

Well, I have been No S-ing since the first of the year, and I am moving very slowly. I had a LOT of bad habits, and really took No S slow. I'm older, taller, and much heavier than you. I carry a lot of weight in my belly, and I really do not like how it looks! In April, a (skinny) friend bought me ...

Re: another one
CrazyCatLady, I did have that one in my earlier post. . . I really really like that one! Whoops! How about the idea of having an S event rather than an S day...so if there is a wedding shower in the evening, the bulk of the day is a normal N day, but at the shower you will have some punch or...

I have heard the phrase "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels." But that is not true for me. If I am looking at something delicious (usually it is sweet), sometimes I want it more than I want to be skinny. Much easier now to simply wait a few days until it is time for whatever! Thompson's Pier sa...

I have heard that artificial sweeteners can cause blood sugar problems. I also heard that they can cause more cravings. The theory seems to be that they make your body think that it is getting that amount of sugar.... I'm sure everyone is different. And I bet time will tell you if the H2Orange is a...

Only occasionally. I would suggest that even the H2Orange is not meant to replace meals that are too small...maybe look at what you had for breakfast, and try to make it something with more staying power. I'm glad you got something to combat the shakes. Too bad you can't get the same healthy choice...

:( That is what I was dealing with last week! I had several red days in a row, and after eating a snack, would realized that I didn't even enjoy it! Felt none of the satisfaction, but all of the excess! That has been my goal for the past few days, to enjoy my food (to notice the "satisfaction")! Th...

I recently added a small fourth meal to my 12 hour days at work. I have evidently been No-S-ing long enough to train my body that dinner is at 6pm, and if I work til 7pm, all I think about that final hour, and the drive home, is FOOD! And I cannot eat a normal meal that night, I overdo it. And I fe...

Another study that seems to indicate that cutting carbs (or simply cutting back portions?) lead to more success than limiting calories!

Great idea for a hoppin' thread! I fear the calorie counters may be somewhat outnumbered here at No S, but from the posts I have read, they are small in number but have lots of reasons to back up their position! I am a non calorie counter. I have successfully lost weight through counting on Weight ...

I have been eating to excess and spoiling myself to death (100 pounds of extra weight is NOT good for me!) for such a very long time! Good luck on passing up the Key Lime Pie. Sometimes I just try not to worry about occasions like that too much. When I started a habitcal, I had major slip-ups that caused the red days. Then I read here about how one slip can just be one slip. And since then, all my red days are from one slip. So even though the day is marked red, I feel successful in that it was only one small thing, so more of a learning e...

Esdaly, what would these past few weeks been like if you were on a traditional diet? Most likely a huge feeling of failure due to not being able to stick to it through all the stress. And if you weren't on any kind of diet, possibly some significant weight gain! (If you are anything like me, that i...

SUFFERING!
As I sat at work today, with some delicious cookies and brownies nearby, I felt as if I would crack. I wanted a cookie (or four). I wondered if I just licked the frosting off a brownie, as part of my lunch, would it count as a sweet? I was really starting to tie myself in knots! So I began to read ...
