and feeling great! Just as Reinhard and others said, this just gets easier and easier. Even on S days I'm not usually tempted to snack or seconds, and reserve sweets for a treat -- like a nice piece of dark chocolate last night. I started No S'ing 3 weeks ago at 162lbs with a modest goal to lose 9lb...

For women: tips on handling monthly cravings?

Hi there,

I've been happily NoS'ing for over two weeks (and down 7lbs), and just broke my good No-S habits for the first time. I have a super hard time every month just before my period with strong cravings to eat chocolate and whatever else is in sight.

Any tips from those of you out there?

Yep -- buy the book! I'd heard about the No S diet for years, but never decided to give it a go. I bought the book, read it through (it's a quick read) and decided to start that day. Twelve days later I'm feeling really good about my changed eating habits (plus the 5lbs dropped).

To get you through...

I'm in my second week of No S'ing, and I've found it helpful to bring to work a mini-can of V8 tomato juice for just such afternoon craving emergencies. As a beverage it doesn't count as an "S", and it doesn't have sugar or other triggers so I find it satisfying by itself. Maybe it will work for you...
