I'm 5'8". When I started WW last year, I weighed 215. It took me almost a year to eek down to 192ish, then I got so sick of WW I quit. and was maintaining my weight around 195. Then we moved and I gained 5 pounds, up to 200. I started No S and now I"m at 206 and none of my shirts fit. At 206 I'm onc...

Well, I didn't eat constantantly on my S days. But too many desserts, for sure. Milk gives me gut cramps. I was doing some watered down OJ or tea with non-dairy creamer in the late afternoons to stretch things out. I don't know...I got on the scale this morning and it was WAY up. I'd been hoping tha...

A month of No S and I've gained over six pounds!!!!

I have been "good", no-s style. only one red day and that was because dinner was too light and I had to eat again two hours later because I was HUNGRY. So this is clearly not working for me. I have been eating quite a bit at mealtimes, but just one plate, and working on shrinking my portions, but wa...

oooo, I like the way you link sabbath-taking with this way of eating. So many things have gotten out of balance for most folks in this day and age, haven't they?

It's good that it's a Monday

Last night as my rather full (and happy, since dh took me to Panera for some coffee and dessert) self was going to sleep, I found myself actually looking forward to Monday and the fact that it is an N day. There is something clean and easy about N days. I like that. My stomach is adjusting to this w...

I get hungry half way through the afternoon, and I just have to grit my teeth and bear it. I'm hoping that with time and determination I can re-train my body into not getting hungry at that time of day 3-4 pm-ish. I eat dinner after 6:30 so that I don't have to go to bed too terribly hungry, but I'm...

Just a little edge of hunger?????? LOL. I am always ROARING with hunger by about 4 pm and then I just steel myself for the next two and a half hours.

Exercise helps. Sipping tea helps. a glass of OJ helps.

...but still.

Now...about the size of that plate....

As a No S newbie, I really let myself pile on the food on a big plate. There have been many meals when I took plenty, and stopped eating before I ate everything on my plate. I'm trying to listen to my body and stop when it ways "full". And I'm thinking it's time to work on moderating my portions a l...

Here's how my day went: I ended up driving down early and eating a packed lunch of leftovers at my friend's house (who was babysitting my kids.) My lunch was lighter, basically I saved half of it for later. (It was a container of tuna noodle veggie leftovers, an apple and a soynutbutter/Ezekiel brea...

I think I can do that. And I KNOW that a small planned fourth meal would still not be the amount of calories I was snarfing down on chips and cheese late at night before No S.

Help, I need Advice!

I've been doing great since I started: All seven of my N days are green so far. Here's my delimma: Today I'm driving to an appointment over an hour away, on the interstate. I'll be driving there at around 11:00 am and arriving sometime after 12:00. And I will be driving home again between 4:00 and 5...

It seems to me it would be much more satisfying to go out for coffee and a dessert with my dh on an S day than it would to be constantly nibbling on stale Halloween candy all weekend long. For instance. I like your extra S's and I will keep them in mind for myself, as well. I scare myself with how l...

As a fat person, I must say that I'm always inspired by seeing "naturally thin" people put less food on their plates. Makes me realize my own transgressions and over-eating. I'm forever grateful that my husband is such a person and I'm always a bit abashed to see his moderate portions. (If he ate a ...

Sounds to me like a Crock pot needs to be on your Christmas wish list if you don't already have one.

Or else you need to pull out the one you have and start using it.

Having Dinner ready and waiting would solve ALL your problems.

and WAY TO GO with the consistent workouts!

I think you raise some good questions. Those are questions I have asked myself many many times as I have yo yo dieted and binged my weight up and down all my adult life, but especially the past ten years. Why is it that we get to a point with weight loss, and then sabotage all our good efforts? Well...

My first ever S day!

Well, I had five green days in a row this week, and today was my first ever S day. I'm SURE I had too much sugar, but I get the sense that I'll iron things out as the weeks go by. My treat today: Pie! I had a slice of Sarah Lee Cherry Pie with my lunch, and that was good. Then, this afternoon, I mad...

So I should not feel guilty about drinking decaf coffee with sugar free creamer for half the morning?

Or I could have a tea with some milk in it in the afternoon?

Hi, I'm new!

Hi All, My brother introduced me to No-S last monday, I guess it was, and the moment I read about it, I started it. Since I'd read about No-S earlier in the day, before I typically started my feeding trough snack rounds, I decided to go ahead and count that as my first green day, even though I'd had...
