I'm glad to see you back into your systems! I know what you mean about needing to be hungry for meals. I think my body is similar. I love Beverly Cleary's books! Unfortunately, I haven't read too many books about the Middle Ages, so I don't have any suggestions. I would think that as long as your cl...

Worth it, I have done the mod of having some sweets with a meal, and as long as I stay disciplined with it, it works great. The problem sometimes (at least for me) is allowing one sweet treat to turn into several during the day and then totally overeating. That hasn't been as much of a problem for m...

Good job on going to see the doctor! I think having extra hot drinks from time to time is fine. They really are comforting, especially with the cold weather. I saw your recipe for honey ice cream. It looks amazing!

Thanks, Eschano, Tessy, and Auto! :D I'm still plugging away at reducing the size of my meals enough to lose weight, without feeling super hungry and deprived. I'm also still working on not eating after dinner. My two trickiest days are Mondays and Thursdays when I have band, since the rehearsals st...

Thanks, Linda! :D I made it without eating after dinner yesterday, except I did have a cup of coffee with whipped cream in it. That satisfied my need to have something late at night. I may continue with the coffee or tea ritual for awhile. I will update later on today. Breakfast: Coffee with whipped...

Thank you, worth it! :D I have a confession. I have gotten really bad about eating late at night again. It started right after my embolization, when I had to eat something with my last pain pill for the night, and even though I haven't taken the pain pills for 3 days now, I'm still eating, after my ...

That's great that you have figured out your expectations were too high. Next year, you'll be able to plan accordingly. It sounds like your boys have a great child care and homeschool set up! The eating out is a challenge. It makes life easier, but the meals are high in calories. Since I'm also short...

I agree with Eschano. Usually, desserts at restaurants aren't worth it. I have found that when I do get a dessert, I'd rather split it with someone. The first 2-3 bites taste the best.

Thanks, Linda and Eschano! :D I'm doing okay with not weighing myself as much. I've only stepped on the scale first thing this morning, and my goal is to stay off of it for the rest of the day. DH took me to Trader Joes last night, and I stocked up on quick, healthier processed foods, since I still ...

I wouldn't worry about overdoing it at the restaurant. I don't go out to eat all that often, so when I do, I try to just enjoy it and cut back the next day. As for WW, if both systems are working for you, that's great! :D I think some public accountability would be very helpful.

That's awesome about being recognized for your progress at the restaurant! As for exercise, it's easy for me to do it during the school year when my older DS is in school, but it's much more difficult in the Summer, when I have both boys with me all day. I always feel SO much better after I do it, t...

Very true, aspencer! Thanks! :D You're right that the pain meds could be affecting my weight. Today is my last day to take them. I did weigh myself several times yesterday, but I have stayed off of the scale this morning. I'm determined not to step on the scale again until at least Saturday. I think...

Linda, Thanks, except I broke down and weighed myself tonight. I was up 5 pounds since last week. However, I had just eaten my evening snack and had a glass of water with my pain pill, plus I had drunk 2 cups of tea earlier in the evening, so I'm guessing I'm up at most 2-3 pounds. Considerin...

No, I think that system sounds great! I tend to be a naturally disorganized person, so I try to have a few goals to complete each day, so that I feel accomplished. I also understand about wanting to get things done earlier in the day. I'm a SAHM, and when my boys go to bed, I want to devote as much ...
