I've really let them pile up this time... 12\7\08: Rest Did some kind of weird, cardio workout DVD with the Missus. Not really my thing (too dancy), but it’s always fun to do things together. 12\8\08: Rest This wasn’t supposed to be a rest day, but for whatever reason it turned into one, so this...

Okay, so I mentioned a new routine, and this is the deal. I’m feeling a little more confident in my growing strength, but I understand that if I’m to even consider seriously approaching my long-term goal of gymnastic-style training then a solid base of maximal strength is going to be key. Plus, ...

Hey-o, gang! I've thinking about buing a new hammer for a while now, since my trusting 10 pounder has been starting to feel a little light (keep in mind, I've been using this bad boy since I started shugging, and I honestly can't remember how long ago that was), but the problem is that I'm an except...

Odd week. I declared this a “recovery weekâ€, thinking that it’s be good to back off the hard, intense stuff a little to let everything recover . . . and then I got sick (sinus thing that’s been going around – everybody’s getting one these days), so the phrase “recovery†took on a whole...

Canoe Strokes with VIDEO
Hey Guys, something new to add to the mix. I know there have been many along the way who've thought to use canoe strokes, or paddling moves, with the SG, but this my take, based on some canoe-instructional sites that I found a long time ago.
Enjoy, and let me know what you think!

The Moulinet
This is a move I learned in Theatrical Combat. The main goal is to create the appearance of winding up for a really powerful strike with a weapon. In this case, it's a great warmup move that'll work your shoulder mobility and bring your body temp up in a hurry.

Video Requests for "Non-Canon" Moves?
I got to thinking (a rare, but dangerous occurance) about how much fun it's been to make shovelglove tutorial vids, and that it was a shame that there are so many user-created moves that don't have videos. I came to the natural conclusion that the one thought could help to correct the other. A few t...
