good habits
I am trying to develop good habits on my days off from work. I haven't had such a physically demanding job in years and I am trying to resist the couch on my days off from work. I'm trying not to weigh myself as much, but am hoping at least a few pounds have come off. thanks for the support and the ...

Anticipating Failure
I'm anticipating a lot of red days this week. I've gained weight, so I want to work on plate size. However, I have added exercise to my day and have also started a new job (3days a week) that mostly light- medium labor. I'm wondering if I should work on plate size after I'm used to the new activity ...

I gave up dividing my shopping cart into "snack" and "meal" sections.
I gave up the idea that a sandwich will kill me and completely ruin my weight.

sick!
I know sick days count as S days, but I feel like it's still a day of failure. I'm pretty sure that this is from years of dieting behavior. Any one else struggle with this?

My June Challenge
I'll start my challenge tomorrow. I'm going to be camping for 2 weeks in August and I need to improve my overall body condition. I'm also unemployed and in school full time, so it's too easy for me to sit all day. I'll also be adhering to vanilla noS and recording that. Do aerobics for 30 minutes da...

1. I eat very little processed/manufactured food and no reduced-fat products. I eat from the green and yellow boxes here . I think the whole food and real fats help keep me satisfied both physically and emotionally. these are my guidelines for eating for the most part. I am aware when I'm having a ...

breakfast suggestion
I do not like cooking breakfast. I just want to eat when I get hungry (usually an hour after I wake up, but that time gets shorter as I eat more reasonably at dinner the night before). I also don't really get enough protein. I usually make a fruit smoothie with a scoop (or two) of protein powder. I ...

fruit "serving"
i generally like half my plate covered with either fruit or veggies- the closer to raw the better. Breakfast this morning- 1/2 plateful of farm fresh strawberries (i love the farmer's market) and a piece of wheat toast with peanut butter. i'm out of milk (the horror!) so i decided to go for a small ...

school and snacking
I'm grown now, but I recall one year in high school.... class started at 715, so I had to eat breakfast by 7am at the latest (and since mornings sucked, it was usually a muffin or fast food combo meal, etc) lunch was at 1115. 4 hours after breakfast, not too bad. However, lunch was usually a small h...

I love milk. I drink it with meals like breakfast or PBJ sandwiches. I usually drink 1 or 2% milk. the other night, I was hungry. I had water with and after dinner and I 3-4 hours after dinner I was dying for a snack. so I had a glass of milk. Is that a snack? what about chocolate 1% milk (homemade ...
