That is indeed delightful! (on more than one level, as Staria points out) It is also "testimonial worthy." I'm going to link to this from the testimonials announcement thread, if you don't mind. Congratulations and thank you for letting us know! Reinhard Thanks everyone!!! I cannot wait to post my ...

PS: kassabma I hope you don't mind me asking but obviously you have had awesome success on the plan and as someone who is struggling, particularly with over-indulgence on S Days - How do you manage your S Days? Do you have your S Days at the weekends or have you made any kind of S Day 'mods'?? I'd ...

Delightful Update

Hello again everyone! I am a frequent lurker, but haven't had the time to post or reply a lot lately - plus, honestly there are so many great people on here that often say exactly what I would say anyway! :D I just wanted to share with you all that this week has been amazing for me because I hit the...

Change in food tolerance

Hi again everyone! I recently had a unique eating experience, and I am wondering if this is something others have experienced. Prior to being a no-ser, I could take down sweets like no other. Now all the sudden on my S days, I feel really quite ill while attempting to even eat a little bit of someth...

I think I'm finally realizing I am no good to anyone, if I'm not healthy myself and also I want to live as long as I can to be there for my son. I've been giving and giving and doing nothing for myself. Putting everyone else first. I've let my husband get away with not helping with our son and I've...

I really like the Slim in Six series. I have also ordered some of the ancillary DVDs by Debbie Siebers (the Slim in Six instructor). She has a really great one that is only thirty minutes. It's called Cardio Sculpt Express. You can go on Amazon and get it pretty darn cheap!

I completely agree with the food aspect of the article, but not the exercise. People really did move around more back then. Kids walked to school, and Mom walked with them if they were little. Mom hung the laundry outside on a clothesline. Two-car families were rare, so she also walked to the groce...

Impressive-congratulations! As a fellow educator, I can tell you that continuing this into the school year will easier than you might think. Having those "intelligent dietary default" to fall back on for breakfast and lunch will help. The challenge will be all those goodies that people seem to brin...

There have been so many health articles written about how exercise helps depression, even more so than medication. So you are definitely doing the right thing by pushing through the depression and getting active. That being said, I know firsthand that depression can kick your booty so hard that even...

Re: Negotiating social issues... for a child

My son is normal weight, and I normally don't allow a lot of sweets/snacks. Recently, he's made a friend at the pool who snacks a lot. This little boy is overweight, and every time he's at the pool he has money for a snack (like an ice-cream bar). He's very sweet, and offers to share his money so m...

Your family and No S

Hi All! I am just wondering about how No S has impacted your family members. I started thinking about this because today while having dinner, my seven year old informed my niece, "My mom and I are on the No S diet." My eyes got as wide as saucers as I looked at him, because I have never talked to hi...

I think my choices have just been so much healthier that my body is like - hold on, don't feed me crap! Glad y...

Hi... I don't post much but am a rabid NoS believer and follower... :) Anyway, this has probably been discussed before... but anyone seen the new way of eating Oprah has embraced? It VERY much resembles this way of life, at least in the sense of making peace with food. I'm so happy she's going down...

I lost 20 pounds and got well below my goal weight last year so I know the plan works, I was never hungry, I lived like a normal perosn - never had to say I can't have breakfast, lunch, dinner or a piece of cake at a birthday party because I was on a "die...

I've been thinking about why NoS works so well for me, and I think one reason is the "lifestyle change" you mention. Making a big lifestyle change sounds like a huge and intimidating prospect, but NoS lets one sneak up on it: just follow these simple rules, you can do that, right? Before you know i...

Hmmm... that's a tough position to be put into by your husband! If he won't let you go alone, have him go with you, and as an added b...
