I find if I balance my plate with 1/2 veggies/fruit/salad, 1/4 starch, and 1/4 protein, that I am able to make it from one meal to the next. This has become really important to me recently, since daughter got a job and dinner is often delayed until she gets home. If I really am ready to "lick the pa...

Do you get money for your website if we click on the ads which appear across the top of each page? Some sites do, and so I was wondering about this.
Funny thing, this morning when I clicked on my Daily Check-in page, all the adds were for tai chi! Are they customizing now?

To Reinhard about Amazon Shopping
I buy a LOT of stuff from Amazon. They used to send me little presents at Christmas, they were so grateful for my business. How exactly do I make my purchases so they benefit you? I would be most happy to do this, my way of giving back a little for the benefit I am deriving from No-S and Shovelglove...

The first season for I love Lucy was the year I was born, so I've literally been watching it my whole life! Now I'm collecting the DVDs so I can watch them while I exercise. What a hoot she was! I remember that episode...neither the Ricardos nor the Mertz's had a dog, but they brought one in just fo...

Jorge seems to be very $$$$$-oriented. The 3-hour schedule really makes things complicated. I was trying to figure out one day (I was bored!) how to make that work in my life in the Real World. Up at 5 a.m., breakfast at 8 a.m. So far, so good. Three hours later, would make lunch at 11. Nope, becaus...

I've done the 8 Minutes in the Morning exercises for about three years. It's a good program, mostly. My main objection to it is that it works each body part only once a week, which doesn't seem sufficient to me. But it only requires dumbbells and a chair, a mat if you have one or a towel, and there ...

Actually, Reinhard and Deb...you're both right! I am still using my "baby sledge" and will stick with it for a few more months, I think. Then I will move up to a six-pounder, if I can find one. I believe in doing small things slowly, and then increasing gradually. This has worked for me in the past....

Most days I will have egg, toast, and orange juice. Sometimes, just for variety's sake, I will mix it up, and have orange juice, egg, and toast. This morning it was Cheerios with vanilla soymilk. On the weekends, it's often an omelet, but I also like French toast or pancakes. Ever had a baked potato...

Guess the others have answered your questions, but I'll throw my two cents in anyway. You won't get shoulders like a man because you have female hormones running around in your body and not male hormones. You would have to do some really serious weightlifting to bulk up. Shovelglove will, however, k...
