Wow, so many different ideas. It's good to know that there is support out there. I believe in the simplicity of No S. It makes so much sense that a "dessert" should be "deserved" and not a staple food for everyday consumption. I also like the idea that snacking is an historically recent phenomenon a...

Still haven't succeeded

I am a comfort eater. I have tried this diet for 8 years now and can't get past the three day mark. Is it time to give up and work on my emotional eating issues instead. I eat when I'm bored, when I'm stressed, when I am tired, when I am procrastinating and when I "fail" on the No S ie "What the hel...

Are Nestle Capuccino Sachets an S?

Hi Everyone! Do you have those Nestle instant Capuccino sachets where you live? They have coffee, milk, a little bit of sugar, and a few other added ingredients to preserve and make them froth up. Clean Eating (not). They contain 50 calories. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance R

Still Hoping to Succeed

Hello everyone, I am a NoS failure as I can't stand being hungry. I've been trying it of 6 years now. By 11.00 am, I tell myself that I really need another diet, or intuitive eating, as I can't stand the feeling of being hungry and still having work to do before lunch. I also comfort eat, being a st...

NoS Horrible Hunger

I have tried for years to do NoS, only to be de-railed by the "11.00 am Hunger," as I call it. There is a diet called the "Change One" in which dieters gradually reduce calorie intake over a period of 4 weeks, starting with breakfast, then lunch, dinner etc. I liked the idea of this because you are ...

I have been steadily gaining weight since 2001, putting on a total of 2 stone I have 3 children aged 5 months, 3 and 5. They are gorgeous but full on. Hi. Last night I had a glass of milk with one teaspoon of instant coffee and one teaspoon of sugar. Would this be classified as as S? I figure it's the same as a latte, only cold. Any thoughts?

NoS While Breastfeeding

Hi. Has anyone ever done NoS while breastfeeding a baby? Or is it a better idea to put some mods in place e.g. 4 meals a day? There is a worry that milk supply will be low if not enough food is eaten.

Any thoughts?

Thanks :D

I have failed. A few Easter eggs have given me some energy to keep going. I am not giving up though. Household tasks are so dull and chocolate makes things appear so much easier. I need to learn from this, somehow. Looking after little people is so hard at times. I will get that serenity prayer and ...

Crossroads

I have failed at Nos now about 600 times. My three enemies are stress, hunger and fatigue. All of these cause me to turn to food. Here I am, borderline overweight. I just can't bear the idea of going to diet prison. Nos seems the least stressful to do. Let's see if I can do a nine day challenge befo...

Yes, Habitcal would be great as an IPhone app. You could also have little messages which appear from time to time to motivate you, eg if you just completed a month of Vanilla No-S. A weight loss graph would also be great. Anyway, that's my dream ;-)

I have tried No S for a year or so and still can't do more than one successful N Day in a row. I find my two toddlers' demands and my fatigue drives me to eat bread with Nutella and peanut butter around 11.30 a.m. I am tired! I have always been a comfort eater. I am possibly doomed here. Still, I ke...

Chronic Back Pain - Will Nos Still Work?

I can't do any strength training due to chronic back pain. Will nos work? I plan to see a doctor and physiotherapist next week. Urban Ranger is still possible. I am fed up with trying to exercise and getting stopped in my tracks by pain. Then I medicate stress and pain with food :-(

I have decided, after many binges, that at this phase of my life, I will "Half S" . I agree in principle with No S but I really am not prepared to retrain my body boot camp- style to need to be fed only 3 times a day. I believe that as I am a nursing mother, I need to eat when I am genuinely hungry....

Awesome encouragement. Thank you so much. A latte mid morning worked wonders. I did my back in at the library - lol! Lifting babies, strollers etc. So the exercise will have to suffer a setback of a few days but that is not an excuse to embark upon the "all or nothing" approach. Have a good one. R

I had just about given up on NoS. I get so bloody hungry at around 11.00 a.m. I am a stay at home mum dealing with a lot of issues. Food is my soother. I started Nos for the umpteenth time yesterday and failed today. I have 2 young children and I eat when stressed and tired. I had a small piece of slice after dinner.
