I LOVE oolala53"s response!! I can honestly say that they random eating has killed me. I have gained almost 30 pounds over the last three years and it is the "little nibbles" here and there that has done it because I haven't stuck to a set eating plan or schedule. AND...in an effort to try to take o...

i agree

It is tough medicine to swallow but you are right. I have had to get into the habit of buying one single treat from the store if I choose - not a box or package. The only person I sabotage is myself when i choose to make excuses. When I keep slipping up, I have to remind myself that that in itself i...

We have always eaten dinner together as a family. My husband feeds the kids breakfast while I get ready - I have to leave earlier so I eat earlier. But one of the main problems I have had with tradional dieting is that I have had to eat something different at dinner, or I binged and am consequently ...

More than that, I am excited to drop "fat thoughts": obssessing over every bite and then binging and feeli...

another question - weight loss expectancy

Hi - I have just one more question as I am ready to really be "up and running": I know from the book that the expected rate of weight loss is slow with this diet, but it's a sensible and realistic plan which is why it works...my question is does that mean I really shouldn't have any expectations abo...

Thank you for the reply! Being new, I don't want to restrict too much - it will be a challenge enough to stop snacking; if I overhaul my whole lifestyle, I feel like I will be doomed to failure. This diet sounds like the sanest thing I have heard. And believe me, friend, I have tried some pretty wac...

I'm new and have a question about wine

Hi! I am new. This plan sounds very do-able (that is a rare thing in the diet world!), but I enjoy a nightly glass of moscato (sparkling white wine) or sangria. Is this allowed on the plan?
