Yes, no failing on the weekend! For Friday, it was a REALLY big virtual plate  I love cheese - it's always my downfall! Yesterday was great. I tried to convince myself to eat more after dinner, and go the virtual plate route, but I was able to stop myself by knowing it would actually be seconds...

Thanks for letting me rant! I figure that I still have enough of my own junk to let go, that I can focus on that for now. We have some large items that we have agreed to get rid of - I just need to figure out how to get rid of them now. So that will help. I'm also going to try and find small things ...

That is great getting stuff out of the house! I got overwhelmed this weekend again, when I looked through 5 boxes in the guest bedroom, and they were all hubby's stuff. Ugh! I tried discussing with him about tossing some of our old painting stuff - we rent an apartment and haven't painted anything i...

Friday was a fail - hubby didn't get home until really late, so we had a late dinner. I was at a friend's house and snacked on some cheese while I was there. Probably too much cheese... but I had a pretty small dinner. Overall, no big deal. The weekend was stressful, so I didn't really focus on eati...

Welcome, Sandy. I definitely agree that taking away the allure of foods being forbidden helps a lot. The other key for me is to be more focused while I am eating. A lot of times I'll just mindlessly eat, and I won't even enjoy my meal. If I take more time to really enjoy what I'm eating, then I find...

Great suggestions, I'm going to try those out. For his shirts, I was thinking of pulling them all out into a pile - for him to realize that he has hundreds of them! And then putting them away as he wears them. That way next year, he might give me permission to toss the shirts he hasn't worn all year...

That sounds like a great plan with the journal. Being more edgy with all of your family stuff is probably throwing you out of whack. You'll be back on track. For snacking at night, can you try and distract yourself in some way? For me, if I'm bored (or trying to avoid something like de-cluttering) I...
