So contemplating s...

so what is interesting is i think over time i will start to think whether something is "s worthy" meaning "do i really want this?"... what was nice about today was i reflected a little bit (even though I ate a lot) about whether i really wanted to eat the item or not. so happy i have 1 week under my...

Friday was a success - level 10. Felt very tempted to finish my leftovers after dinner but b didn't. Onto today. Weigh in at 131.6. Not bad. Would like to lose a few more pounds as I consider 120-128 maintenance. Weighing monthly now, well every 4 weeks. Hoping to not go up over the next 4 weeks, bu...

sounds like you know what triggers you. maybe try and just focus on what triggers you and try and think about other things you can do while experiencing those triggers? that is what I'm working on right now. i haven't made it 21 days yet but i know i can. i have to just focus really hard monday thro...

I am going to make this day a success. in a little bit i will go to bed with 5 straight green days. no matter how crazy my Sday is tomorrow, it doesn't matter because it's an Sday. If I make it a week through this I know I can do this for a lifetime... Even if i mess up here and there i have the mot...

through doing the calorie counting thing for years now (WOW!!) i have come to discover what approximately is 100 calories, 500, etc. I've gotten to the point where I know approximately how much I'm eating. I still methodically count in my head... so i know for instance i had about 300 for breakfast ...

I have maintained within 10 lb for a year but during that year I have had a lot of out of control binging which i think was brought on by calorie counting and the nervousness of being over calories for the day. the feeling that i couldn't enjoy something because it didn't fit in my calories or macro...

I like those reminders! Will be writing them down. :-) 4.2 miles takes me 46 minutes on the treadmill. My outside best time for 4 was 37:49. So I have worked up from about an hour to do 4 miles. Don't worry so much about how long it takes you, just focus on personal improvement. Right now I am train...

Today has been good so far. Except now I am really struggling to get to my exercise for the evening. I know I'll do it, just having a lazy moment. Today I would say was a level 10 success. still had 2 coffee beverages and 1 tea... more than i would have liked, but it definitely beat snacking! Really...

i have been thinking, maybe those who are constantly on "diets" think that you have to be depriving yourself of something or it just can't work. I have been guilty of this thinking myself. The first time I tried NoS, my S days were pretty wild and crazy. I gave up because I thought there was no way ...

I, on occassion, will have a regular can (can only) of Coke on an N Day, or a glass of chocolate milk. But taht is an exception I give mysylf. They aren't daily habits, and I figure a glass of chocolate milk while watching RAW is better than a bag of M&Ms. totally agree! if it keeps you from snacki...

I guess this is just one of those gray areas. I do agree about soda though. Diet soda, if i was desperate i would have one but i generally try to stay away from it because of the carbonation bothering my stomach. i think it could be ok as long as not overdone. and i think if a diet soda is replacing...

Traditional Dieters' Reactions
So I told some people about NoS and some didn't like the idea at all. One person said "I would stay with the plan [meaning Ndays only] 7 days a week and not indulge on the weekends. Weekend indulgence sounds alarming to me, a recipe for disaster. If you must snack on weekends make sure it is only ve...
