Being the ice cream lover that I am, I am curious what this Indian ice cream is like. I like to imagine it's made with ghee.

Sunday, June 29, 2025 Pinkie - with my car not having AC, my windows are definitely all the way down all the time. I found a good podcast that goes very methodically through how to do Step 4 (inventory of character defects). I notice that if I get out of the habit of having a snack at a certain time of day, then over time, feelings of hunger at that time of day seem to diminish. I am consciously cutting when it feels easy. Tonight I had squash and ham for dinner and skipped the carbs because I wasn’t too hungry. If I felt deprived I would have added something in. OK so it's been a busy month making videos and prepping for classes and now into the 2nd week of "back to school.". I have two full-time jobs, essentially, but the truth is there is no way I can put in the 70+ hours a week that is necessary to keep all the balls in the air. I let the company I contr...

Thanks Linda and Jen. I ate weird stuff at odd times over the weekend. And last week, I truly didn't want to eat any protein. I find that interesting from a biology perspective. So here I am at Monday, March 15th. Today is HappyHerder's 5th birthday and my parents' 58th wedding anniversary. 131.0 Ea...

Linda - this thread has always been enjoyable for me, for sure - probably why I've stuck with it so long! I just seem to be in a season where I have my days filled with lots of other good things that are serving a similar sort of introspective purpose as this thread does for me. I'm already annoyed ...

Have fun with the boat! You are encouraging me to take the plunge and spend a ton of money on our summer trip. It's nothing crazy wild, but we want to go to Silverwood Theme Park (Idaho) for 2-3 days, and stay in a fun hotel. For 4 of us, that will be a hefty bill. Plus, I will need to board the dog...

Ah thanks Soprano. I finally forced myself back on here this morning! I have been eating too much this week, that's for sure, but I also feel bad when I don't comment on everyone's threads!! Pinkie - I buy salmon burgers at Costco! Easy peasy! The kids basically consider them like hamburgers, so it's a nice way to get their Omega-3's up. Tuna melts are another way to get the kids eating fish, which I consider brain and mood food! At first they didn't like the tuna melts, so I basically ...

Me too! Me too! The wind in my town can be crazy wild, and I always dread cleaning up garbage so I'm a little OCD about when I put the cans out and how I "monitor" them while I wait for the garbage and recycle guys.

Ah Pinkie, sorry about your pup. Maybe it really is just her teeth making her get skinny? I have started feeding my dogs canned cat food and they are loving it.
Maybe in her twilight years you can just give her all the fun food she loves!

Pinkie - I used quads (old-school) growing up, then switched to roller blades in college, and just very recently (like last October!) bought my first pair of quads. It was amazing to go back to them; I'm much more able to spin and turn than I could on my roller blades. I'd forgotten about the differ...
