A few weeks ago I ate cake that I didn't really even want but felt pressure to eat when we had dinner with friends. I too have a love hate relationship with calorie counting. I think of small fails as a different kind of victory. Being on a diet that is too strict never ends well. By learning to fail small in the long run it brings much more success than an overly strict plan where minor infractions send me over the edge (: Good job on keeping it to just one cookie!!!

Oh, wow, so glad you found your dog! Well, Jen's mailbox is definitely workout-worthy! It really does make a huge difference to be consistently exercising. LOL about the mailbox (: I live at the bottom of the hill so it's all uphill to get there (: It's about a 20 minute walk, 30 if I go the long way, but it's extra so it's made it so I can have that little bit more when I need to guilt free (:

Eating too little is my surest path towards a weight I can't maintain. I don't think it's the worst thing to use looking better as a motivator to lose weight but going to far to get there might not be the path that leads to permanent success, at least it never worked for me!! And my advise to lose w...

Stop beating yourself up! Days where you take your foot off the pedal & relax a bit are the reason that will make it so you can do this long term!! It's a lot easier to say no to cookies when you know you can have later so be proud that you didn't during the week and try to enjoy your S day (:
