So, the reviewing and reflecting has been ongoing. Relaxing, catching up on sleep and having a break from work has allowed me to get a bit of perspective on things. I have read some interesting things which have motivated me. Oolala - on someone else's thread: You eat because you put food in your mo...

This year has not been a good one for me. There have been no huge life-changing events - but I have struggled with lots of things over the course of the year and I don't feel 'happy'. By happy, what do I mean? I think I mean that I am not where I want to be. I feel as if I am failing and this is pro...

In the end Tuesday was a fail - albeit a minor one. I made a mistake, felt rubbish and reached for chocolate....which just increased the rubbish feeling.
Wednesday was a major fail.
Thursday and Friday will be better.

Thanks for the encouragement milliem.

2nd day and successes so far. Still to have dinner, but the tricky time of day (late afternoon) is over. Eating isn't particularly healthy as we are having the kitchen replaced and eating out or takeaways - but it is contained.

Jazzer and Jim - who would have thought it?! Loving their conversations

I did hear that Clarrie was leaving and that they would be replacing her. Still waiting to hear the new voice though.

Recommitting as of today - an S day. The best day to restart :D I have recommitted lots of times and failed, which makes me worry that I will just fail again. Fails need to be viewed differently: a learning experience, not a judgement on my personality (I'm hopeless, can't even stop myself from eati...

I've started listening again as I drive to and from work every day. There is an excellent Mike and Vicky storyline which is very moving. I'm enjoying lots of the other storylines too. I read that the Eastenders producer was temporary and has gone now, so hopefully we will stay in the realms of male ...

Thank you - I had a lovely holiday. Hot and lazy - my favourite type :D I have to confess that I didn't listen to any of the episodes on my ipod while I was away. It seemed as if there was too much to catch up on. I might just try and rejoin in September - it's not as if it's difficult to work out w...

Sorry - completely missed the point of your question! Oh yes - I was very pleased that it was included too. Saturday 10st 11 1/2lbs Thursday and Friday were also minor fails. Thursday - a handful of M&Ms, Friday - snacking from 4pm onwards. However, I'm 5lbs down from a week ago, much less bloated and feel more in control and have reduced portion sizes considerably. We are just about to go on holiday for ...

Wednesday fail. A controlled fail - but still a fail. What to learn? A more substantial lunch would have helped and then staying strong in the face of temptation.

Well done on the 2lbs - fantastic news :D I know what you are saying about the habit of overeating after your weigh-in - I used to do exactly the same at Weightwatchers. Could you find a non-food way of rewarding yourself after your weigh-in? Not quite the same, I know - but if you do want to wean y...

11 stone 1 lb. The heaviest I've ever been. I feel ill from all the rubbish I'm eating, I'm out of breath walking upstairs, and my clothes don't fit. I'm eating what I want but I'm not happy. Tuesday officially a fail. Not a hopeless fail, a considered, contained fail. The girls were practising 'mocktails' for an up and coming birthday party and needed taste testers. Posted on 12 Feb: So I am making a commitment to follow this plan consistently for the next 12 months. I will post every day and b...
