S-Days are off the hook. Completely.

In practice, my meals tend to be one plate, as seconds were never the problem for me that snacking was/is (If I have an excessive S-day, it's snacking).

I think they get easier to resist with habit training. Most of us have YEARS of the habit of nibbling behind us. But a few months on No-S and most of user here report getting to the point where they don't notice the dish so much.

I agree that outlawing them for the office is unreasonable.

I took a look at this, and suggestions for cook books is excellent! As you state, any real cookbook is perfect for No-S, so that hooks into what you've already said.

If you can target a SPECIFIC book, the Small Batch Baking book would be great for S-days.

Exercise DVDs are a good choice, too.

FWIW, a one day jump in weight is definitely a statistical anomaly.

My opinion: If it's NATURAL for you to eat two meals a day, go for it.

That said, I think it would be amazingly FOOLISH to TRY to do it to be extra "good" if it's not naturally a comfortable pattern.
