Re: automated eating tracker
Thanks auto, glad your sugars are stable. I currently only take a blood sugar test once a week. The last one which had gone up was the morning after a low carb day. Evening meal was early and was an omelette with sausage bacon and red pepper, hence my surprise.... I'm hoping it is just a dawn effect...

I have been serving salmon with sweet red peppers, onion courgette and couscous. Just fry everything, mix couscous with hot water then add to pan, lovely with a splash of sweet chilli sauce.pinkhippie wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 7:37 pmAlways looking for ways to make and eat fish since my entire family pretty much hates it.

I agree totally that weight loss as the only goal does seem to take too much willpower.
I'm in this for health reasons now, weight loss and vanity were the reasons I started but health is keeping me going. I'd actually be happy weight wise if I didn't lose any more but my health needs me to.

So hard watching our kids taking knocks in life. Creator sounds like he's got something special. I'm sure you are right and he'll do just fine. Especially with you for his mum

Yes bought a while ago. I did play around a bit in the beginning but now I'm going to monitor once a week.
It's a year until my next HaB1c And I'm determined to get it to normal levels. I figure if my morning readings are dropping, things should be looking good for the HaB1c?

My morning blood sugar was 5.6 last week it was 6.8 week before 6.3 and before that 6.0.
I wonder if my liver has now dumped all sugar stored and possibly insulin resistance improving.

Thanks, auto and Pink
I got on the scales again this morning and have dropped to 9st 13lb.
Whilst I'm loving the weight loss my main motivation at the moment is to improve my blood sugars

When I wrote the post on 25th October I was 10st 3.5. Scales showing 10st this morning that's 1st 3.5lbs lighter than when I started Nos. Like others I have adapted it to suit me along the way. I no longer have s days and really don't miss sweet stuff. My indulgence is a square or 2 of quality dark ...

You will have to cut right down on your carb consumption, eating carbs makes you want more. Either go cold turkey or do it systematically and slowly. You won't be able to have a lot on s days unless you want to be starting again every Monday. I'd cut as much obvious sugary stuff as you can first. Wh...

The eating carbs came to an easy and abrupt end when I got my HbA1c reading. I've tipped into prediabetic. I have drifted from time to time but other than fasting I haven't followed any other diets. l use No s as my default position.

Sustainable is the key point. I dabble with fasting but really only between 12 and 18 hours. But I can see how it can become addictive and certainly for some it is a god send.
