I too can't get away with the sort of eating that I used to do when younger. I find that grazing and permasnacking can also be a reaction to eating too lightly. Mon 27, Tues 28, Wed 29 success Thurs 30 - fail. Lunch ended up being 2 snacks instead of a proper meal - I wasn't keeping an eye on the time, had to be somewhere & ended up with a snack before and after. I count it as a fail because it was caused by lack of attention and organisation, and it breaks...

Thurs 16 -technical failure - having stomach problems, so didn't feel like having any more dinner, then had supper - as I expected, not enough food for dinner. Very small supper. Hungry next morning.

I have found that allowing myself to have a snack if I am really hungry works well, but requires a fair amount of self interrogation and honesty. Sometimes its better to wait and find out if it is just a mid afternoon energy slump rather than true hunger. I still count it as a failure on N days, but...

Chopin was alway one of my favourites to play (in the days that I played), although I never got beyond the fairly easy ones. Its the sort of music that one can really let one self go in. What are you practicing at the moment?

Yes, I too have found that keeping much the same routine on weekends is helpful. A bit of latitude can be useful sometimes,
but I like the 3 meals a day structure too much to throw it out the window on the weekends.
