Fifteenth year

(New!) Read (or post) about people who have stuck with No-S for 10 or more months, lost 10 or more pounds, or 10 or more percent for their starting weight. Periodic updates strongly encouraged -- you can think of it as "Yearly Check In."

Fifteenth year

Post by DaveMc » Thu Jul 25, 2024 5:02 pm

Hi all,

Here we go again: an update to report my 15th year on NoS (I started in July 2009). And we're back to having not much to report! I'm sticking to the pattern, no particular modifications, S days are crazy but not *too* crazy (largely, I think, because my definition of "crazy" has shifted so much lower), and it's no effort at all to maintain the habit on N days.

So ... that's about it. :) I'm continuing my plan of doing this for the rest of my life, and so far so good.

If anyone is just starting out and reading things here rather than the Facebook group (which I can't join because I don't use Facebook): hang in there! It's worth the effort to get settled in to the habit, take it from a 15-year veteran.

Here are links to my two most recent updates, and every one of them has a link to the previous year (sometimes more, since in some years I've included multiple past years), so you're welcome to read my entire set of yearly check-ins, back to the distant days of 2009. (Just think about how many things would have seemed impossible, or at least insanely ill-advised, back then!)

So good to hear! And thanks for letting us know. "Nothing much to report" is very encouraging at 15 years into it!
