Great Quote!

Post by sarahkay » Mon May 14, 2012 2:31 pm

I was talking to Mom this morning, and she told me about a story she heard. A woman she knew was trying to lose weight, about 40 pounds. She felt very frustrated and talked to some friends. She asked them about how long it might take to lose the weight and they all said maybe 6 months or so. She was so frustrated by the thought of waiting 6 months she wanted to throw in the towel before she really got started!

A friend told her, 6 months will pass whether you are dieting or not. Do you want to be thinner after 6 months or heavier?

It helped me a lot!

So true, and if you get frustrated that you can't do it in 6 months... a year will also pass.
I guess this doesn't work unless you actually do it.
Please pray for me

I use this a lot on another site I participate on. The time is going to pass anyway. You might as well be learning long term habits.
