Smoothies
How do you account for a smoothie as far as a plate goes?

I think putting the foods to go into the smoothie on a plate beforehand gives a more realistic view of what you are eating. The visuals can be very important, and are much harder to tell when the foods are already chewed up, as they are in a smoothie, in essence.

You didn't ask about this, but IF I have a smoothie, and I rarely do because I like chewing, I pour the contents in a bowl and eat it with a spoon. No matter how hard I try to drink a smoothie slowly (I like to take at least 20 minutes for a meal, but even eating it with a spoon is over within 15 minutes), it just feels unnatural to do it. But I also find if I don't take time to ingest the meal, I feel very unsatisfied for a long time after the meal, even if my hunger is sated.
But if you are a veteran smoothie ingester and you actually like the convenience of getting the meal over with quickly, mazel tov!
