When someone refers to "Vanilla No-S" what they mean is strictly following "No Sweets, No Snacks and No Seconds, except on days beginning with 'S'" without adding any additional rules like limiting when and where one can have treats on S days.

I've never seen it explained anywhere, but I think it means, "plain, old-fashioned." As in just follow the rules as they are with no tweaking...
