Want to take a fitness trip on Route 66?

Post by amieru » Sat Oct 11, 2008 8:43 pm

Hi y'all ! I have found this great website for anyone who exercises to stay fit physically. It doesn't matter whether you shovelglove, hike, walk, jog, run, bike, on and on.

You take the minutes that you work out and they are converted to miles. One min. = 1 mile. You pick the car or truck you want to travel in and it goes thru Route 66 on a map.

The site has tips, recipes and a HUGE list of activities that you can click on. After you click on an activity....for ex. canoeing.....it then took me to a website that gave me river locator maps, and all kinds of things about canoeing. The same with hiking....I clicked on that word and it took me to the American Hiking Society website. It talks about hiking, tips etc.

I just am really excited about this because I'm going on a trip (a fake one)
and it will be fun to see how fast or slow I go. I even picked my old car to drive in. Check it out..

scroll down a tad and you'll see the "How Do I Get Started".

I need a goal to start walking again that has me excited and this is it.

This is really cool! 8)

Living in Oklahoma, one of the Route 66 states makes it pretty neat also. Gives you one more reason to stay motivated to exercise. Thanks for sharing.
