Dam!! This is working!

Post by janmarie » Tue Mar 24, 2009 2:49 am

Been no-s ing for about 4 weeks now. I feel like I am in control for the first time in i don't know how long! And my body is changing...i see it a little here, a little there. Stopped getting on the dang scale every day. I'm going to wait a good while and surprise myself! I had to buy some work/office pants in size 10 pants...my 12's are waaay to loose now. i found two pair at wallyworld for cheap! i figure i will actually be an 8 someday! It's not that I can ever be a young beautiful thing again cause heck, i am going to be 58 next months but at least i won't be a fat old thing. I am feeling so proud of myself. I can't help but think, what will my friends think!
I love no-s. my thing is to do one of my meals a day as a liquid meal, a protein shake. that has always worked well for me, my lunch is my protein shake. it's so rich and choco but just a tiny bit of sugar, very high in protein and milk, or almond milk or rice milk. Anyway, this is great. I actually looked forward to the end of the S days and back to mon-fri.
I have been working out with some weight and doing stuff like leg lifts at home every day for 20 minutes, plus i do about 12 minutes of meditation. i try and walk at least 3-4 times a week. none of that takes too long and that is important cause i do it everyday.
anyway, this is all great! THANKS!!!
(half a sleep writing this, sorry if it is crazy)

Huzzah! I think I may have to make the banning of daily weighing my personal goal in life.

Jan, you're an inspiration. Thanks for joining the forum and letting us all see what a great job you're doing.

Congratulations on your success so far!

I have been NO S ing for about the same amount of time-I'm in week 4 and I have had similar success. My pants are getting looser and I'm not starving or eating unfamilar foods. Yea for us!
