Car fuel vs. People fuel

I found this an interesting Graphic...

http://www.theinternetjournalist.com/wp ... 3/fuel.jpg

...my personal disclaimer...
While an "average person" burns 2000 calories daily,
my detailed, long-term records show
that my past entire year's calorie burn
in order to maintain my same weight
totalled only 1030 average daily calories
Unfortunately, that's Normal for me, not "starvation mode"
Hey, I'm female, small and I'm old,
so it goes.

Very intesting.

I think if we shoved as much "fuel" into our vehicles as we do into our bodies, they would be pretty sluggish indeed.

Also wanted to say that I agree with your signature statement. I have been advised (on Calorie Count) that I need about 1800 calories a day just to maintain based on my level of activity, etc.

I would gain weight, very easily, under those guidelines.

But then, I'm old too. :D
