Flavored Coffee: S?

Drinking chocolate flavored ground coffee. Ingredients are coffee and "natural flavorings." Would you call this an S or not? I'm so confused... it tastes really good...

Food and drinks are meant to taste good! You don't have to kick this one to the curb purely for the crime of tasting nice :)

Whether you consider this an S is personal choice - one of my favorite things about No S is that it doesn't micromanage you, the small decisions are in your court. I'm assuming one of those "natural flavors" isn't sugar, so the only sugar is the amount you might add if you put sugar in your coffee. Coffee or tea with a spoon of sugar is absolutely vanilla No S. Keep in mind the S is "no sweets" not "no sugar".

Especially if you are relatively new to No S, I'd say don't worry about it. Just go for green N days. You can always review in 6 months if you think it is hampering your progress.

I'm a bit of an outlier when it comes to choosing S's - I'm pretty strict about what is an N food. My main criterion is: does this help habit, or confuse habit. So, if your tasty flavored coffee drink makes you think "yum, I'm so satisfied, I love N days", that's great. If that drink makes your habit brain go "cool, I love how chocolately treats are allowed every day!", then that might be a problem.

Thank you. I guess I will include it and see whether or not it becomes a problem.

I'm going to bet that a flavored coffee is not going to be a problem, especially if it's not highly sweetened.

If it helps in the future, it can be good to frame possible problems by asking yourself "Would eliminating this likely solve my problem of excess?" Or "Is this my main problem?"

There is no S better than (mod) Vanilla No S
