looking for exercise motivation?
I came across this and thought someone might find it interesting/useful. It's an old blog written by John Bingham who started to run in his 40s (I think) but this part of it is nicely focused on anyone wishing to be more active in any way.
I think he has a nice non-intimidating style of writing.
Enjoy and get active

Thanks! That's amazing, because I literally decided yesterday that I will do an intentional 30 mins walk every day after dinner (on top of my usual everyday walking to/from work etc).
It's nice when the Universe responds with such synchronicity!
I'm off right now in fact!

I have not read the article yet, but I am a HUGE fan of John Bingham. I started 'run 1 minute, walk 1 minute' about 4 years ago. I was this huge fat woman lumbering red faced down the beach.
I used to repeat to myself a mantra I took from John Bingham.
He said
“If you run, you are a runner. It doesn't matter how fast or how far. It doesn't matter if today is your first day or if you've been running for twenty years. There is no test to pass, no license to earn, no membership card to get. You just run.â€
I used to say to myself. "I am running. Therefore I am a runner" as I struggled along. Today I am a trail runner and an ultra runner. I am still not fast (particularly at the moment, as I am recovering from a bad fall) but I love it.
And now I am off to read the article!
