What did/do you take seconds of?
I read people saying they took seconds before No S or that they slip by taking seconds. I'm curious what foods people tend to take seconds of? More meat? More starch? More of combo foods like lasagne or casseroles?
I'm going to hazard a guess and say it's not the green beans or salad...

I used to have no prolemas with the seconds, my way of eating rather was:
- What he touched in the diet.
After a few days:
- Binge eating: eat something forbidden salty, for example, a sandwich of cheese and ham, follow with chips, more sandwich, an industrial sweet, chocolate, other two industrial sweets ... etc ...
And again:
- what he touched in the diet.
How sad not to know how to eat normally, right? But what luck to have found No S and finally be, eating structured.

I'm not sure what you meant by "what he touched in the diet."
You are not alone in not knowing how to eat "normally." Things have gotten abnormal for decades. And yes, we ARE lucky!

Thanks, Dalia negra! You mean you could take seconds of all S's, I assume.

Yeah, not the veggies usually (unless there's something special about them--I remember being at a friend's house and her roasted asparagus was so delicious I had seconds! Or if there's a really good dip for raw veggies--things like that). Definitely breads, desserts, casseroles (I noticed the temptation for another piece of bread or another plate of spaghetti this week, for example).
Snacks tended to be my bigger temptation than seconds though. I might not get seconds at dinner but might want a snack an hour later.

Seconds are not (and never have been) a problem for me (lucky me!!) - But snacks and desserts -- particularly snacks??? That is another story. I'm one of those people who cannot go to the movie theater without getting popcorn- movie night is best saved for an S day.
Strategic action, release perfection.
For me it was anything really-whatever is 'calling' me. I don't mean exactly a craving, but something just sounds good. When I do eat it, whatever it is tastes exceptionally good, while other things pale in comparison.
Oddly enough, most of the time is is actually vegetables. Anyone else at dinner is lucky to get any parsnips if I get to them first - and I may possibly have picked through and eaten any leftover parsnips long after dinner was over. I can eat my way through enough perfectly steamed green beans for three people, and last week my entire lunch was roasted broccoli.
Probably the main non-vegetable things were lasagne and casseroles - especially with green chilies. Anything with green chilies, come to think of it.

'I do think the way to a full and healthy life is to adopt the sensible system of small helpings, no seconds, no snacking, and a little bit of everything. Above all, have a good time.' Julia Child
Lately I'm noticing that what I think about taking seconds of is my own cooking. Like if I serve a delicious bowl of soup to my kid, but she only eats one bite, my first instinct is to eat the rest myself. I bought a bunch of silicone lids that are various sizes and fit many bowls and plates, and I am saving those portions for later.
