Need help with something...

Post by xJocelynx87 » Wed May 21, 2008 2:06 pm

Ok so here's my problem...

I haven't been very consistent with NoS lately, but my concern is that since I only have 3 meals per day, I like to make them nice and balanced, but I always end up too full and think it myself "it'd be so much easier if I could just save the rest of this for a snack around 3pm." I know, of course, that this is breaking a rule. I've also considered just making my meals smaller, but then I'm left too hungry, especially on days that I work out.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jocelyn

Dear Jocelyn,

1. In time you'll get very good at budgeting how big your meals should be. I rarely fill my plate to the point where I'm disgustingly full or have to scrape it into the garbage. So "more of the same" plus patience will probably do the trick as far as excessive firsts are concerned.

2. Working out EVERY N-day does wonders in terms of keeping your appetite consistent and predictable.

3. Do keep in mind that some people no-essers do eat 4 meals. There are risks to this, of course, but they might be worth it for you. Just add "a meal called snack" at 3pm (or better yet, call it something else).

I think you should do what you think will work for you and do it consistently. Don't worry about the "rules" -- concentrate on what works for you.
