where does tea and coffee fit?

I'm new to no S - was introduced by an aquaintaence when I expressed I was looking for something I could do on a budget without taking over my life. It's been 1 week and so far so good - it's challenging but doable and very convinient.

My question is how does tea and coffee come into the equation? is it considered a snack? something between meals that should be avoided?
I'm English and we love our tea! I drink it without sugar and with lowfat milk so would think it's pretty neglible calorie wise - but I do have up to about 6 cups a day!

Tea and coffee are fine, just watch out for the tea biscuits!
