Hi, Newbie here

Hello
I stumbled upon this site via Sparkpeople...what I am reading here seems to make common sense. I am very OCD when it comes to food so not having to count/log/journal/ etc etc appeals to me. Just do it and get on with the rest of your life. Looking forward to getting to know you all. Oh, and I have one question so far....what is "virtual plating"?
TIA

"Virtual Plating" is something of an advanced technique that people sometimes use. Let's say you're at a buffet, or have to break up your meals for some non-typical event. Instead of declaring it an S-day, you visualize the volume of food you'd be able to put on a plate, and make sure that you don't take more food than would fit on it.

I confess it's not a technique I've found very useful, as I feel that I'm not all that great at estimating volume. But some people find it useful.

My blog https://noelfigart.com/wordpress/ I talk about being a freelance writer, working out and cooking mostly. The language is not always drawing room fashion. Just sayin'.
