290 lbs.
Well weighed myself for first time in a few months. Im not a Scale and BMI kind of guy. But at 290 pounds something defenitley needs to be done. Up 50 from my lightest of 240 and up 20 from Dec.. I was Running 3+ mile s a day before Winter hit! Got habitcal set up and going to walk everyday working up to 60 minutes and doing some slight weight training at least 5 times a week. Of course using NoS. Hope can get this under control.

When I'm not up for other exercise, I've been walking indoors. Not on a treadmill or anything (I don't have one), just around the house. I set a timer and I Do Not Stop Moving until it goes off. Up and down the stairs, in and out of the bed room, around the coffee table - it doesn't matter - I just keep moving. It's not much, but it does help with maintaining the Habit of getting in some movement each day (a Habit I'm working to build).
Good luck moving forward. I think sometimes we need a reality check to get our butts in gear. I know last summer I saw a picture of myself and it was a real wake up call to just how much I'd let myself go. It sucked. I still hate looking at that picture. But its what I needed to get me going. Lucky for me, I found NoS, made the lifestyle change, and am on my way to a better me.
Now that you have a plan, you can execute it. And that's the first step towards feeling in control.
Finally a diet that I can make a lifestyle!

I think it helps. I've been standing up most days at work (it looks weird, but it feels good after a couple of days) and my pedometer registers another 6,000 steps a day.

Hey Sienna - I like your suggestion for moving around the house to get your steps in! I do have a treadmill but I seem to have fallen out of favor with it (in other words I'm BORED with it) so I like to walk around indoors and have been doing during the winter months. Mostly around my basement but I'll have to try your suggestions of up and down stairs, in bedrooms etc. because not surprisingly, walking circles around the basement can get boring too.
I've started wearing my pedometer every day this week and have been managing to get at least 10 k steps in a day. Hoping this might help shift some of the pesky pounds - every little bit helps, right enough, huh?

You can hurt yourself walking in snow, especially if there's ice, too. Nicest Husband hurt his tailbone that way a few years ago, and still has pain from it. He's in his 30's, so it doesn't just happen to old people, either. I've managed to fall on snowy sidewalks, though fortunately I've managed not to injure much more than my dignity.
Nicest Dad mall-walks. That might work for you, if there's a conveniently located mall and you don't have a problem with buying too much while you're there.

Thank you all! I did good today. Had a breakfast burrito for breakfast and some oj. Made it myself. had Mr Goodscents Half pennyclub and some salt and vinegar chips and a Diet coke. Have lunch at 12 and ate at 7 ish so through in 4th meal at 330 , it was a beef jerky stick. Got home walked dog. went for walk myself and the did a cpl circuits for upper body with dumbbells and balance ball. Tomorrow will be lower body! Hoping to get something going and get this under control. So wierd though I seriously dont look and feel 290!
You might want to look at the daily check in of bluebunny27. I think he started at 280 pounds and went down to about 190 over the course of a year. I might be wrong but not far off.

Thank you! Yeah it is amazing what a little effort will do! Seriously been eating whatever i want and just walking a little. at least 30 minutes. But I walk everyday with dog for one 10-15 minute walk in the morning. And again in the evening for at least 15 or so up to 30 minutes. Tonight I just alternated pushups and squats and then finished with a superslow neg chin up. Tomorrow I need to put my weights back on my home made shovelglove!
