Have a question
I know on this plan you cant have sweets like soda during the week but you can have fruit jucie (if I remember right) but how about like green tea with stevia/splenda in it or lemon aide with it in it.
How about gaterade. Been drinking that more then soda lately. My allergies are so bad right now, nothing i drink is tasting good other then gateraide and apple juice.
Im not much of a hot tea drinker expecially this time of year.
Thanks

I would say green tea with stevia is fine, I feel that if one is allowed to have sugar in the their coffee, then one should be allowed stevia in their tea. I have honey in my morning cup of tea.
I would say gaterade is too much sugar, is it the sugar free one.
What I like most days is .5 cup OJ, 3/4 cup club soda, squirt of lime juice and 1 packet of splenda..

Two things really helped me. Rather than exchanging one sweet for another, I have reduced my taste for sweetness. It's been a gradual process, but it's been really good for me in many ways.
The other thing that helped was getting a Soda Stream. We all love our fizzy drinks in this family - but now they're fizzy water with a splash fresh juice, or homemade flavored syrups - like ginger, rose or lavender.
For 'sports drinks' we just add a bit of sea salt to our water bottles.

We've got one of those too and get a lot of mileage out of it. All we ever drink is plain seltzer (perhaps with a splash of lemon) but we drink a lot. Besides the financial benefits vs. buying bottles, and the easy availability of a zero calorie drink slightly more exciting than tap water, I think my favorite benefit is the lugging around of bottles that it saves us -- much lighter shopping trips. The other thing that helped was getting a Soda Stream.
