New to NoS

Post by littleblackdress » Sun May 06, 2012 4:51 pm

Hi! I am new to NoS and can't wait to get started (tomorrow is my official start day). I am sure that I have a pretty normal story of how I got into the shape I am in: perfectly healthy weight until I had children. Put on too much weight and am still carrying it 8 years later  In fact, I added quite a few extra just for good measure, I suppose! I hated myself so much for the weight I had gained that I just kept on eating. And every time I would try to diet, I would fail and binge. WW, South Beach...all they did (for me) was to make me hyper-focus on the very thing that I didn't need to focus on.

Last week I had had enough. I actually started exercising again for the first time in about 10 years. The first day was so insanely difficult that I thought I might pass out. I was so angry with myself for being that out-of-shape - and by the time that the class was over, I had resolved to make a permanent change.

I found NoS while looking for something - anything - to cling onto, and it just made so much sense! I haven't even started but can tell that it is going to work. No counting Points. No carb-counting. Just common sense. So, here I am. Looking forward to this journey with you all :)

You will definitely find sanity here when it comes to building a normal relationship with food and by putting food in it's right place in your life.

I love the sanity the most!!
