Thanks Shovelglove...

Take a sledgehammer and wrap an old sweater around it. This is your "shovelglove." Every week day morning, set a timer for 14 minutes. Use the shovelglove to perform shoveling, butter churning, and wood chopping motions until the timer goes off. Stop. Rest on weekends and holidays. Baffled? Intrigued? Charmed? Discuss here.

Thanks Shovelglove...

Ok, I'm fairly new. This is going into week 3 on No S. So far so good.

Today was the plunge of doing shovelglove. I weighed my sledgehammer - 13 lbs. Not bad. I do exercise already - I run about 2.5 miles a few times a week and I bike almost every night with the kiddos. BUT, like all exercise I was like, yeah right, 14 minutes is soooooooo long.

I did the exercises, 7 reps on both sides, and I didn't even get through all the exercises twice (but almost!). I was using my pc to watch the video while I was doing it. I got a great exercise and it went soooo fast!!!

Reinhard - you're a genius. I love that you put this online. I think I can relate because I'm a programmer/systems person too. By the way, you have the funniest personality ever. I love the description for Churn the Butter. I was LOL when I read it.

Actually I was kinda wondering if there was a way to get the video and burn it to a dvd or something. It's easier when I watch and then do it. Oh boy, another item for your store :)
