Preparation to start Shugging
As I said the other day, I'll be on a hammer hunt tomorrow. In the meantime I'm watching the videos and aping the movements with a broom to prepare myself. Anyone do something else interesting to train themselves?

Picked up my hammer on Friday,a 12 pounder. Went thru a training period yesterday and just finished my first 14 minute set a few minutes ago. Let it be said to doubters that this is rigorous exercise. I most certainly can feel it all over my trunk and upper body. The fourteen minutes goes fast, I set an online timer and hide the screen so I wouldn't be a clock watcher. A couple of the exercises, especially stoke the oven feel odd when I use my left hand, but I'll adapt. Giving a big thumbs up. Thanks Reinhard and everyone who posts in this forum, reading thru your insights helped a lot.

That's cool! The first two workouts are probably the toughest, and then your muscles adapt quickly.
I have a 12 lbder too... I felt 10 was just a little to light.
Would you be able to post the link to the online timer?
That would be a helpful tool to have.
I usually go by the length of the music mix, and pick 14 mins worth of music.
Have a good weekend.
