Take a sledgehammer and wrap an old sweater around it. This is your "shovelglove." Every week day morning, set a timer for 14 minutes. Use the shovelglove to perform shoveling, butter churning, and wood chopping motions until the timer goes off. Stop. Rest on weekends and holidays. Baffled? Intrigued? Charmed? Discuss here.

That is a great one.
Makes me think I should look deeper into combining shovelgove and (fast) urban ranger.

Yes, it was a striking commercial that I remember from my childhood. Designed to mesh with the Olympics, with a dash of Soviet symbolism.
Funny now, if this commercial didn't exist and you asked me if it was possible to successfully combine Baywatch slow-mo with an Orwellian theme. I would have thought the concept laughable.

You'd have to be pretty hardcore to run that hard/fast carrying a sledgehammer for any length of time. I suspect she was Drago's sister

I like it. Running with hand weights has been around for a while. Running with a sledge hammer seems like a logical next step. And if anyone asks, I could just tell them I am late for a house demolition on the other side of town
