I've been keeping a track of my walking using http://www.walkjogrun.net/
and in 7 days I walked 13 miles with my two dogs. Today I walked just over 3 miles and burned over 400 calories. You can time yourself and put it in with the distance you walked and it figures out how fast your average speed is and how many calories you used.
I'm going to try to do 15 miles in the next 7 days, starting tomorrow

I was seriously underestimating how far I was walking. I'm really lucky that I live on the edge of a large town so I have woodland, river and fields just five minutes walk away. Plus the streets where I live are safe so I can walk anytime (one of my dogs is quite scary looking too so no one tends to mess with us ).
