Ruff's check in.

Counting carbs/calories is a drag. Obsessive scale stepping is a recipe for despair. If you want to count something, "days on habit" is a much better metric. Checking off days on a calendar would do just fine, but if you do it here you get accountability and support. Here's how. Start a new topic in this forum called (say) "Your Name Daily Check In." Then every N day post a "reply" to that topic as to whether you stayed on habit. A simple "<font color="green">SUCCESS</font>" or "<font color="red">FAILURE</font>" (or your preferred euphemism if that's too harsh) is sufficient, but obviously you're welcome to write more if you want. On S-days just register that you're taking an S-day. You don't have to do this forever, just until you're confident you've built the habit. Feel free to check in weekly or monthly or sporadically instead of daily. Feel free also to track other habits besides No-s (I'm keeping this forum under No-s because that's what the vast majority are using it for). See also my <a href="/habitcal/">HabitCal</a> tool for another more formal (and perhaps complementary) way to track habits.

hello, I am back again! Got a bit lost, stuff happened, as life does.

Back again, starting again. Actually I have been going great guns in some areas. I have started running, and have stopped snacking (mostly) But back on the wagon again now.

Just an amateur! I love the Iron Chef series though. And I love to cook, which is why I hope No-S will suit me - nothing could get me to give up my confit duck leg recipe :)

Hi tobaismom,
Ruff is just a pest! He will not leave me alone until we go for a walk!

Today is Saturday, and hubby and I and Ruff ran for 1 hour 45 minutes, and then came back and ate pancakes with honey and bananas and cream!

So I think that takes care of any calories I may have burned in the run!

Ruff, however is finally worn out and is asleep in front of the fire.

I am here...just life has bought up!

Today they came to inspect the damage on my house. The good news they are going to fix it!

The bad news...we have to leave and live somewhere else whilst they do.

The no-s news. After they had gone I was really tired and stressed. i had eaten early because they were coming and missed lunch because they were here. So when they went, I opened the fridge and started to grab things...but then I went NO- YOU NEED A PLATE!

So I went and got one and put some lunch on it!

This may not sound much but for me it is cool.

The thing I like about the NoS diet is that nothing is much yet every "not much" is a solid win and we should celebrate it (foodlessly, obviously). Especially, if it's in the midst of stressful moments. So: Well Done! I think it's a LOT :D
