How did you do on your first day?
Day 1
Day 1 - failure
Well, I didn't expect to fail the first day. I didn't realize how much snacking I was doing until I tried to stop. I did pretty good all day until the evening. I stayed up with my son to watch a late movie and then ended up snacking right before bed.

Dust yourself off, you got this
try not to get discouraged. Changing the habits of years can take time. I had the same problem you do; not snacking was, and continues to be the NoS I have trouble following. I really didn't realize before NoS how much snacking I did--since I didn't snack at the same times everyday, I really didn't think I snacked much. But once I had to go without snacks---that's when I realized how often I reached for them. Two things that helped me were hot tea when I wanted a treat and included my favorite snack items, like chips, with meals---maybe not every meal, but enough I don't feel deprived.

Day 2 - failure
I did really well with snacking and sweets, my two biggest obstacles. However, I was so hungry when we got to dinner that I ended up getting some seconds without thinking about it until I was sitting down eating them.
I'm not worries about seconds since I don't typically have issues with those. So, technically a failure in No S but a success in the 2 S's I struggle with the most.

Keep going....that's great! This does take a lot of focus; at least it does for me. Hopefully it will get easier the longer we do it.

Day 5 - success
No S. I'm still trying to figure out what size my portions should be at meals. With No S I'm considerably hungrier at meals than I used to be and now I find myself piling up my plate bigger than I normally do, so that's going to take some adjusting.
I have found that while I never used to eat breakfast, now I'm hungry for breakfast in the mornings.

I think your meals will probably level off as your body adjusts to the new schedule. It can take awhile and be a little surprising because you are seeing piled on one plate what used to be spread over multiple plates and in snacks.
Patience is key with this way of eating and you are doing great so far.
Enjoy the weekend

It is interesting to see how meals are changing, isn't it? I for one am shocked how much food I used to eat when I did the typical dieters 5-6 meals/snacks per day. I am eating so much less food and stuff is going bad in my fridge, lol!!
It will be fun to see what happens a few weeks from now and how our bodies adjust. Keep at it! And enjoy your S days!

Weekend
The weekend.... Well that was interesting....
I think I found out how many sweets one person can inhale in 2 days, however at the end of last night I was feeling like my kids after Halloween night. Not only did I attack sugar with a vengeance I also made sure to "make up" all of my snacking. Yeah for me...
Results - I have no desire for any sweets this morning or to snack at all. I also noticed last week towards the end of the week trying to make up for my hunger with a plate piled high at dinner. So that's somehjng I want to fix this week.
Good things - I had hit a weight high before I started this so I know the changes I started seeing last week are good. I started going go bed earlier, I made sure when I ate at meals it was something that sounded good, not just quick and easy. I've started excercising with my wife and son again. I played 2 board games last week (including the dreaded monopoly:).

Week 2
Week 2 check in
Weight - 185
Down 6 lbs from start, 2 lbs this week.
This week was much slower than last, but it seems to be consistently working. Struggle times are still late night, but if I go to bed hungry I don't seem to wake up hungry so that's good.
I had several temptations at lunches out for work but was able to have 5 successful days.
