success!


I think I did good - any feedback will be greatly appreciated!
During the day I stayed away from regular soda and the snack machine...breakfast and lunch were proportional (I actually shared some of my H french fries at lunch and didn't feel like a failure for doing so!). I did have a protein water drink late in the afternoon - no sugar added, so I think it was ok.
Made it to the gym after work, took D along for giggles and company. Focus was on weight training large muscle groups: legs, back, chest and abs. Did 20 min cardio on bike.
No snacking before dinner! Yippee! I wanted to, D and H having chips while dinner cooked. It woulda been sooo easy to reach over and grab a few (handfulls) chips.
I instead had a sugar free instant coffee drink, deciding to put a few of those chips on my dinner plate. (no stacking, actual space on the plate) It helped in that I didn't just over eat chips and I didn't feel like I was depriving myself.
And...no snacking after dinner! Yay! I did have about 6 oz of diet soda.
I told H of NO S - he wasn't terribly supportive. But... in his defense, he's seen me struggle first trying one thing and then another. "Just eat less" he says - "no biggee." Ummm... well... yeah.... but if it really was such a no biggie then I wouldn't be such a biggie. I'm doing it for me, tho, that's what is important. I have to believe in me first before anyone else can - and he's seen me not succeed so much that I can't really "blame" his attitude. Still woulda been nice to hear some encouragement...
I went to bed feeling good -- like I said before, I think I did ok...I know I felt ok.
