Counting carbs/calories is a drag. Obsessive scale stepping is a recipe for despair. If you want to count something, "days on habit" is a much better metric. Checking off days on a calendar would do just fine, but if you do it here you get accountability and support. Here's how. Start a new topic in this forum called (say) "Your Name Daily Check In." Then every N day post a "reply" to that topic as to whether you stayed on habit. A simple "<font color="green">SUCCESS</font>" or "<font color="red">FAILURE</font>" (or your preferred euphemism if that's too harsh) is sufficient, but obviously you're welcome to write more if you want. On S-days just register that you're taking an S-day. You don't have to do this forever, just until you're confident you've built the habit. Feel free to check in weekly or monthly or sporadically instead of daily. Feel free also to track other habits besides No-s (I'm keeping this forum under No-s because that's what the vast majority are using it for). See also my <a href="/habitcal/">HabitCal</a> tool for another more formal (and perhaps complementary) way to track habits.

Day one - success, I think. Not sure about pizza, what to do? I didn't have any snacks or sweets today. Just not sure if two slices of pizza and a salad is considered seconds. If I had only eaten one slice, I would have been famished right now.
A bit about me:
Female, age - I rather not say.
Height 5'10", current weight 161
Goal weight 145

Can it really only be Tuesday??? I would commit murder for a Hershey Bar with Almonds (JUST KIDDING!). Didn't think I would miss my twice-daily chocolate fix, but wow, this is hard.
Counting down to chocolate, 3 days...
Success for today - if I can hold off until bedtime!

Day 3 February 3, 2010
Guess what??? There's a HERSHEY BAR WITH ALMONDS in the vending machine at work. I haven't seen one of them in that machine in years. Go figure!!! I can almost hear it calling to me... (note - no one has as yet been harmed due to my chocolate withdrawl).
Sucess again today, if I can make it until bedtime. Served myself a huge plateful of pasta w/sausage and peppers. I didn't finish it, I guess that's good. Leftovers for lunch tomorrow.
Countdown to chocolate, 2 days. Wonder if the S day technically starts at 12:01 am?

Welcome!
I do know people who stay up until 12:01 and then have their treats. Feel free to do so. I do so enjoy my sweets on S days!

Day 4, February 4th, 2010
Success again, but man oh man - what I wouldn't give for some chocolate right now. Got real busy at work, ate lunch at my desk and forgot about my orange. By the time I remembered, it was probably snack time, so I put it away for tomorrow.
Dinner - shrimp stir fry with lots of veggies and lo mein. No seconds!
ONE MORE DAY TO CHOCOLATE - WOO HOO!!
