Daily Check In

Counting carbs/calories is a drag. Obsessive scale stepping is a recipe for despair. If you want to count something, "days on habit" is a much better metric. Checking off days on a calendar would do just fine, but if you do it here you get accountability and support. Here's how. Start a new topic in this forum called (say) "Your Name Daily Check In." Then every N day post a "reply" to that topic as to whether you stayed on habit. A simple "<font color="green">SUCCESS</font>" or "<font color="red">FAILURE</font>" (or your preferred euphemism if that's too harsh) is sufficient, but obviously you're welcome to write more if you want. On S-days just register that you're taking an S-day. You don't have to do this forever, just until you're confident you've built the habit. Feel free to check in weekly or monthly or sporadically instead of daily. Feel free also to track other habits besides No-s (I'm keeping this forum under No-s because that's what the vast majority are using it for). See also my <a href="/habitcal/">HabitCal</a> tool for another more formal (and perhaps complementary) way to track habits.

I have lost 2 ks (4.4 lbs) wow I am really pleased with this. No slip ups all week. The walking is helping so to recap
3 weeks of not drinking through the week
two weeks of walking 5/6 times a week
over two weeks of nos .
its an S day today and I am not really going to go crazy just something devine if i want it !
This is really working for me the daily check in the habit cal which does not mean that I spend all my waking thoughts on food
My goal is to have lost 4 kgs by my nieces wedding on the 13 March three weeks to lose another 2 kgs go girl

My copy of the book arrived yesterday a good easy read and makes good sense. I think I need to note a sound of caution with the weight loss ...early days and need to allow for flucuations
Great walk a good s day just happy sticking to my 3 meals a day and had a small bowl of ice cream

back to the green days the thing I like the most about this is that I am not fixating on food Its amazing
also a big shift around timeframes this is Not about a quick fix
all of this makes it very liberating and a life change NOT a diet

a red day in every way but thats ok the first one in over three weeks so i am ok with that back on track not going down the punishment road. Over doing the wine results in poor choices all around .
Otherwise optimistic

Have been away at a conference out of town. I am really pleased with the three days . I had no problem keeping to the plan plus I walked everyday ! The glass ceiling mmm not so much !
Weekend went well my S days were moderate . Want to really focus on the glass ceiling as the nos days are just fine !
